Institutional Accreditation
Murray State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist and doctorate degrees. Murray State University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Degree Granting Authority
Murray State University is officially recognized as a state university in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Revised Statutes (KRS) 164.290. By the authority vested in the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) by the Commonwealth of Kentucky (KRS 164.295), Murray State University has the authority to grant the following degree levels within the Commonwealth:
