Theatre
A degree in theatre is about more than the lights and the cameras. We train our students to work in all forms of theatre, providing a solid foundation of experience for work in film, television, musicals and plays. You’ll also gain hands-on experience working in one of our five to six productions each year as cast members, production staff, technicians, running crew and more. Above all else, though, our graduates are sought after and relied upon by businesses and industries across the country both in and out of the entertainment field. Take your turn in the spotlight and apply today.

Get involved in theatre on campus! Murray State puts on a number of performances throughout the year, including an event called Campus Lights — the longest running student-produced and student-performed musical series in the South. There's also Sock and Buskin, the oldest student organization on Murray State's campus, which aids and assists in theatre productions in the community.
