Secondary Education Certification

If your goal is to become a secondary teacher, you'll have an opportunity to impact many lives throughout your career. The effect you will have will last lifetimes. Through the secondary education program at Murray State, you can choose from a variety of content certifications. These programs will prepare you to teach a specific subject matter, including art, biology, chemistry, English, French, history, mathematics, music or Spanish. You'll learn about curriculum and teaching methods. And you'll get 200 hours of real-world experience by teaching in a public school. On top of all that, you'll have dual advisors! One will be in education, while one will be in the subject-matter department of your choice to help you excel in college and beyond.
