Teaching middle school is an exciting and challenging journey. It also gives you the opportunity to be a positive influence during a formative period of a student’s life. If this interests you, you can learn the best ways to teach young students through the middle school education program at Murray State. We’ll prepare you to become a certified teacher for grades 5–9 in English/communications, mathematics, science and social studies. And we’ll give you real-life experience, too! Clubs and Internships
The Middle School Club meets monthly with guest speakers and service projects with local middle schools. Additionally, students participate in three practicum experiences in middle school classrooms prior to student teaching.
