MURRAY, Ky. — Through scholarship opportunities, nearly 150 academic programs and partnerships with other educational institutions, Murray State University continues to offer numerous opportunities for transfer students to take the next steps in their academic journey as they pursue the career of their choice.

New, first-time transfer students are eligible to be awarded a scholarship when they are admitted to Murray State. These scholarships, which are GPA-based, are up to $4,000 and are awarded for three years (fall and spring consecutive semesters) or until a bachelor's degree is received, whichever occurs first. Murray State also offers a $500/year scholarship to Phi Theta Kappa members. A variety of competitive scholarships are available as well. Murray State recently awarded a record $127 million in financial aid and scholarships and has been recognized nationally by U.S. News and World Report, Forbes and other publications for quality and value.

Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, Murray State offers nationally-recognized academic programs for transfer students that range from agriculture to business, music to engineering, healthcare to education and much more. A variety of programs are offered both in-person and online. In addition to its main campus in Murray, Murray State has five regional campuses in Fort Campbell, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville and Paducah.

Murray State has existing and longstanding partnerships in place with various educational institutions including many community colleges and community college systems, to provide fully-integrated transfer pathways into a specific program at Murray State.

A dedicated transfer admissions team at Murray State offers a simplified admissions process to incoming transfer students as well.

“With our nationally-recognized academic programs, simple transfer pathways and enhanced scholarship opportunities, this is an outstanding time for transfer students to consider Murray State University, including admission for this fall,” Murray State President Dr. Bob Jackson said.

There is still time for prospective transfer students to apply and be admitted for fall 2024 at Murray State. For additional information, visit murraystate.edu/transfer, contact Murray State’s Transfer Center at 270-809-3350 or msu.transfercenter@murraystate.edu.
