Office of Student Enrichment, Academic Excellence and Leadership to host College and Career Readiness Conference

MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State University’s Office of Student Enrichment, Academic Excellence and Leadership will host a College and Career Readiness Conference Nov. 1-2.
Geared toward high school and college students, the event will offer a series of speakers and sessions to enhance their academic success and future career endeavors.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with distinguished speakers, participate in innovative workshops and network with industry leaders. West Kentucky Community & Technical College President/CEO Dr. Anton Reece will provide an opening keynote on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. inside the Curris Center Theater. The keynote is open to the campus and broader community.
Plenary keynote speakers on Saturday, Nov. 2 include Tennessee Valley Authority Vice President of Industrial Marketing and Services Gary Harris, and President/Head of School at The West End School in Louisville, Dr. Gregory E. Ross, a two-time Racer alumnus.
“Success is when preparation meets opportunity. We are committed to student success and focused on exposing all of our students to as many opportunities as possible to help them reach their dreams,” Murray State Executive Director of the Office of Student Enrichment, Academic Excellence and Leadership Dr. SG Carthell said.
The event is supported by the Murray State University Foundation, Tennessee Valley Authority and the Dr. Marvin D. and Eunice J. Mills Endowment.
