MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State University’s College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) will host its 39th annual Harry M. Sparks Distinguished Lecture Series event on Tuesday, April 30 from 5-7 p.m. in the Alexander Hall Auditorium.
This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to hear a lecture on a chosen topic, as well as celebrate educators in the area. The featured speaker for this year’s lecture series is Dale F. Wilson. Wilson, a retired special agent with the United States Secret Services and Murray State alumnus, will share his experience working with esteemed government officials, including secretaries of state and presidential administrations.
Before the lecture, COEHS will honor outstanding educators at the early childhood, elementary, middle school and high school levels. As of April 8, COEHS had received an impressive 131 nominations, highlighting the community's widespread appreciation for educators. A selection committee will carefully review the nominations and select one recipient from each category to be honored at the event.
