MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State University’s School of Nursing and Health Professions has been recognized by RNCareers.org as having one of the best 2024 Best Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs in Kentucky.
RNCareers.org’s comprehensive evaluation of more than 1,700 nursing schools focused on critical aspects such as student outcomes, teaching effectiveness, nursing school reputation and program offerings. Murray State’s commitment to excellence in these areas has solidified its place among the top of this year’s rankings.
The 30-credit hour program’s 100 percent online availability provides the ultimate flexibility for working nurses and can be completed in as little as one year.
"In a field brimming with quality, Murray State University distinguishes itself through its robust curriculum and outstanding graduate success,” said RNCareers.org Publisher Jeff Morrow. “We applaud their commitment to setting high standards in nursing education. This distinction not only honors the faculty's exceptional teaching skills but also reflects the outstanding potential and ambition of Murray State University's students, who are at the heart of the program's success."
Dedicated to meeting society’s healthcare needs, Murray State’s School of Nursing and Health Professions offers an array of nursing degree programs, all designed to prepare students for a successful career in nursing. From BSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Murray State combines rigorous academics with real-world clinical experiences throughout the region.
“The Murray State University RN-BSN program has a long history of collaboration with ADN programs in Kentucky, especially in western Kentucky,” said BSN Program Director Dr. Dana Todd. “We appreciate that collaboration with the community colleges and work hard to assist students with their transition from the ADN to BSN degree. The RN-BSN program is student focused and transparent in expectations and costs associated with the program. Additionally, faculty are readily available to assist students enrolled in the program. We support work-life balance and want to ensure those students complete their educational goals.”
Murray State’s RN to BSN online program is designed to provide students with the flexibility and convenience needed to balance education and work. The dedicated and professional faculty work one-on-one with students throughout the program, providing personalized attention and advising. In addition to clinical work, a BSN degree could open doors to positions in middle management, education and research. Murray State’s RN to BSN program doesn’t merely advance its students’ nursing careers; it broadens their professional horizons.
Murray State broke ground on a new School of Nursing and Health Professions building on Dec. 8, 2023.
