Public Relations Student Society of America awarded bid to host district conference

MURRAY, Ky. – The Murray State University Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will host the 2025 East Central District Conference: “PR Here, There & Everywhere!”
“PR Here, There & Everywhere” will feature western Kentucky public relations professionals that will allow students to explore the diverse world of public relations. The conference will also feature PRSSA National Vice President of Brand Engagement Ro Lane as a keynote speaker on leadership. The second day of the conference will include an etiquette tea to better prepare students for professional settings and allow them to network with field professionals and other PRSSA chapters.
“The idea to host a chapter came about because we wanted to bring the nationals experience to our students. Having a smaller chapter, it’s not as attainable sometimes to go to these national events but bringing the conference to our region allowed us to bring this experience to similar chapters to us, as well as bring an incredible experience to our students,” said Chapter President Ellie Krouse.
Students in the Murray State chapter have the opportunity to build an event from the ground up, utilizing classroom skills in a real world setting.
“This is a labor of love but I see our students continually inspired at every meeting we have,” said Krouse.
