Murray State University to host a rededication ceremony for the Dr. Marvin D. & Eunice J. Mills Center for Excellence on Oct. 16

MURRAY, Ky. — Murray State University’s Office of Student Enrichment, Academic Excellence and Leadership (SEAL) will host a rededication ceremony for the Dr. Marvin D. & Eunice J. Mills Center for Excellence on Friday, Oct. 16 with a ribbon cutting and program at 5 p.m. in room 101 of the Curris Center. A reception will follow. The event is open to the public.

The rededication will honor Dr. Marvin D. and Eunice J. Mills and reaffirm the Center’s commitment to student success at Murray State. The event will recognize the importance of a campus space where students can find support, connect with others and develop as leaders.

The Center’s work supports SEAL’s mission to help students grow personally and academically. Through programs and services that address academic and campus engagement needs, SEAL promotes leadership development, retention and progress toward graduation. The rededication reflects a continued commitment to student success.

Mills Center for Excellence is a place where students can find encouragement, build relationships and receive support as they work toward their goals,” Murray State’s Assistant Vice President for Student Services Dr. SG Carthell said. “This rededication honors the Mills family’s legacy and renews our commitment to helping students succeed academically, develop as leaders and feel connected to the University. We want every student who walks through these doors to know they matter and that their future is worth investing in.”
