Murray State offers enhanced academic achievement scholarships to emphasize GPA for entering freshmen students.

MURRAY, Ky. – Admission for the fall 2025 semester and 2025-26 academic year at Murray State University is open as prospective students should apply today, schedule a campus visit and learn more at admissions.murraystate.edu.

Future Racers are encouraged to apply for admission now as both the 2025-26 general scholarship application and housing application are currently open for admitted students. The general scholarship application deadline is Feb. 3, 2025, while housing room assignments are based on when admitted students submit the housing application. 

Recognized nationally as one of America’s best college values, Murray State is the #1 “Best Value School” in the South region by U.S. News and World Report as part of the publication’s annual rankings.

The fall 2024 freshman class is the fourth largest in the University’s history and the second largest in the past decade following last fall’s record-breaking freshmen enrollment. This is also the largest overall enrollment since 2016 at Murray State.

Murray State offers on-campus courses at its main Murray location as well as five regional campuses in Paducah, Henderson, Madisonville, Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell. The University also offers many degrees and classes entirely online, providing a flexible higher education experience to accommodate any schedule.

Murray State has an expanded regional tuition rate that includes a total of 15 states across the country. These states include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Murray State also offers enhanced academic achievement scholarships to emphasize GPA for entering freshmen students. Based on the University’s most recent data, a record $136 million is awarded annually to students in financial aid and scholarships, and among its freshman class, 99% received a scholarship or financial aid. 

Murray State offers 148 academic programs from agriculture, business and music to cybersecurity, healthcare and education. Prospective students can browse a list of academic programs and learn more about career, compensation, industry and employment information at murraystate.edu/programs.
