Murray State University celebrates commencement

MURRAY, Ky. – As part of its centennial year in 2022, Murray State University hosted commencement ceremonies for fall/winter 2022 graduates on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the CFSB Center.  

A total of 716 degree applicants comprised the fall/winter 2022 graduating class of degree applicants, including doctoral, specialist, master’s, baccalaureate and associate degrees. A total of 26 states and 11 countries wererepresented in the fall/winter 2022 graduating class.

Honorary doctorates were awarded to Ms. Mary Ford Holland (posthumously), who was the first Black student at Murray State University, as well as to retired Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Bill Cunningham.
