Spring O

Spring Orientation is a program for all new degree-seeking students entering Murray State University during the spring semester.  Whether you are a first time freshman, a transfer student, parent or spouse; you'll find things to interest and excite you about Murray State University.

The program is a combination of both educational and transitional sessions to prepare students for life as a Murray State Racer. Spring Orientation will assist students with making connections with faculty, staff, and fellow Racers;  will allow students to become acclimated with the Murray State campus; and introduce students to several organizations and campus services. We hope that through orientation, students will obtain the information to begin the process and feel a part of the Racer Family!

Join us for Spring 2021 Orientation on Friday, November 6, 2020!

**Free Assessment for Developmental Course Requirements

All Kentucky public colleges and universities are mandated by the Council on Post-Secondary Education to enroll students in appropriate developmental courses when the students' ACT scores are below 18 in English, below 19 in Mathematics, and/or below 20 in Reading.

Students with a score below 20 in Reading (ACT's 3rd score) are required to take a reading placement test prior to, or while attending orientation. A strong score on this reading test allows a student to be placed into a higher level course. Similar tests are available for English and Mathematics. Bring a copy of all ACT scores to your orientation session if you plan to take one of the assessment tests.
