Other Ways to Give
Give Bold: A Week of Giving
Our founder and first president, Dr. Rainey T. Wells and Dr. John W. Carr respectively, began with a bold vision for what would eventually become Murray State University.
On March 8, 1922, the Kentucky General Assembly passed the Normal School Enabling Act and sparked a transformative movement where $117,000 in cash and real estate was raised and offered to the Commonwealth to win the bid for a Normal School in west Kentucky.
Now, we invite Racers everywhere - our donors, alumni and friends to give bold during this special week of giving (March 6 - March 12).
During our Centennial year, we are seeking 100 new members of our 1922 Society, which provides legacy scholarships, 100 new planned gifts through the Heritage Society, and 100 new endowed funds. During the campaign, you may make a gift to any area of campus!
Help us celebrate a new century of impact at Murray State University so that future generations of Racers can know what it means to pursue an education at “the finest place we know.”
We are givers. We are philanthropists. We are Racers.
