Wellness Center Employment 

  • Front Desk Attendant: Front Desk Attendants are the first point of contact for Wellness Center patrons. They are responsible for the daily operations of the front desk. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

  • Lifeguard : Lifeguards provide personal safety for any individual using the Wellness Center pool including the swimming pool, vortex, whirlpool, hot tub, and surrounding areas though preventative guarding methods. Must have an active lifeguard certification to apply.

  • Weight Room Attendant : Weight Room Attendants are responsible for the daily operations of the fitness spaces in the Wellness Center. The position requires effective communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Intramural Sports Employment

  • Student Supervisors
    Student Supervisors supervise all Campus Recreation events and attend weekly staff meetings. Preferences include at least one semester of participation at Murray State and officiating experience.

  • Officials
    Officials officiate events. Previous experience is a benefit, but not required. Pay increases with experience. The Campus Recreation Office at Murray State University offers a wide variety of recreation. Professionally staffed and committed to serving our university population, the office makes every effort to provide “real world” experiences to its employees.
