Through the Racer Restart initiative and planning process, Murray State University will follow a collaborative, thoughtful and proactive approach in re-opening campus, including Campus Visits.
During the academic year (September thru April), weekday appointments are scheduled at 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Keep in mind we are in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone.
While we will continue to host Virtual Campus Visits, we will slowly start allowing modified On-Campus Visits.
A typical visit consists of an information session with an admission counselor who will be able to discuss with you admission criteria, financial aid and scholarship opportunities as well as information about housing, dining services and student life. You will also go on a student guided walking tour of campus. Together this takes approximately two hours. This is a walking tour; for your comfort, check the local weather prior to arriving.
In addition, you may request to meet with an academic department. If we are able to confirm that appointment, you should add an additional one to two hours to your visit time. We ask that you give us at least two weeks' notice to try to arrange academic department visits. While we will do our best to schedule these appointments, they are not guaranteed, especially if requested at the last minute.
If visiting on a day that students are on campus is important to you, please keep
these dates in mind while scheduling your campus visit.
