Credit for Experience

Here is how the Integrated Studies program gives adult students greater opportunities to complete a baccalaureate degree:

  1. BIS students may apply for credit for Murray State courses by submitting educational portfolios.
  2. BIS students, like other Murray State students, may earn credit by CLEP examinations and departmental challenge tests.
  3. Learning contracts may make it possible to complete the requirements of some Murray State courses without attending classes.
  4. Murray State accepts the credit recommendations of the American Council on Education for military courses and for non-collegiate sponsored courses.
