Calendar FAQs

What if I can't meet a deadline due to a major accident, illness, etc?
By not waiting until the last day, many problems can be avoided. However, in the event of a crisis, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Why do I need to check the University Calendar?
Although you may not think you need to know many of these dates, situations frequently arise that cause you to need them later.

How can I keep track of all of the University's dates and deadlines?
Some suggestions are: add the "Academic Calendar" to your own Google Calendar; write down important dates in your planner (you can purchase a planner at the University Bookstore that includes many of these dates); request that your family/friends also add the "Academic Calendar" to their Google calendar; and review the calendar at least once a month to check for upcoming dates.

What if my advisor, teacher, or a friend tells me "not to worry" about some deadline or that they will "take care of it" for me?
Registering, dropping classes, adding classes, filing appeals or withdrawing from school are all your responsibility. Always check with the Office of the Registrar for exact information on policies, procedures, or deadlines.
