Student Grants
Graduate Research and Conference Travel Grants
Graduate Research Grants provide up to $500 to be used for supplies and/or travel to research sites in support of student research. Application periods are in fall and spring semesters. Students awarded a research grant must present the results of their research during Scholar’s Week, as either an oral or a poster presentation and at a regional, national or international conference.
Graduate Conference Travel Grants provide up to $500 for students traveling to conferences in their field to present their research. Students awarded a Conference Travel Grant must provide the screening committee with an accepted abstract prior to dispersal of funds.
Students are limited to one grant per academic year. Applicants for these grants should submit an application form, a proposal (see application form for details), a brief curriculum vitae and 2 letters of recommendation (one must be from the major advisor). Letters should be sent directly by the recommender. Application deadlines are Oct. 15 and March 15, each year. Students will be notified of awards by Nov. 15 and April 15.
