Total Curriculum Requirements (21 Hours)
COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Elective applied study is dependent upon studio space and a successful audition on their instrument. Students who wish to take applied lessons must also register concurrently for an appropriate ensemble.

Students are required to participate in any ensemble involving their primary instrument concurrent with each semester of applied music study. Students must register for a major ensemble when taking 2 credit hour lessons. Major ensembles include Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, University Orchestra, Concert Choir, Treble Chorus, and Tenor/Bass Chorus. Students taking applied voice lessons must take a minimum of two semesters of Treble Chorus or Tenor/Bass Chorus.

Students must complete 3-6 credits from the following; MUS 102-108 and MUS 381-383.

Students must complete 6-10 credits from the following; MUS 109, MUS 110, MUS 124, MUS 125, MUS 140, MUS 170, MUS 171, MUS 172, MUS 173, MUS 174, MUS 175, and MUS 241.
