Applying for Graduation

Per the Board of Regents, the degree fee is now $50. After that date, the degree application can still be submitted through myGate but with an extra $20 late fee. All you need to do is:

  • Log in to myGate
  • Click on the Academic tab
  • Find the Student Links channel
  • Click on "Apply to Graduate"
  • Select the appropriate level (master's, specialist, doctoral or certificate)
  • Proceed to the application and payment

HDL Planned Program Form

A Planned Program Form will need to be completed within the first six months of the program. Planned Program forms are individualized with each student and their advisor. 

HDL Comprehensive Exam

The HDL program requires that all students complete the HDL Comprehensive Exam during their last semester prior to graduation. The exam is the exit requirement for all HDL students and is administered online through Canvas. The HDL Coordinator will be provide additional information regarding the exam at the beginning of your last semester in the program.

Certificate Application

Please follow the same procedures above for applying for graduation, but follow the link to the certificate application. There is a $15 fee for applying for the HDL Certificate. A completed Certificate Program Form will also need to be completed and signed in order for the HDL Certificate to be included on your official transcript.
