July 10, 2016 - 4th of July Dinner and Fireworks
I went to my friend's house on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July. For the most part, each big place or city in the US has their fireworks show on July 4th. For dinner, people eating grilled food such as grilled hotdogs or grilled hamburger with potatoes. I had grilled hamburger and grilled hotdog with some potato chips. My friend parents decorate the dinner table with USA flag colored flowers -- red, white, and blue. This was a new experience for me that I had never seen it before. It was very unique to see flowers presented this way.
My friend’s parents love gardening, so they made a blueberry cake desert using blueberries which they had grown -- it was absolutely delicious. My friend is Music major student at Murray State University and after my friend left from his parents’ house, they remodeled his room as music room. My friend's father always prepares fireworks every 4th of July. So we enjoyed our dinner while we watched Fireworks in the backyard. It was a very fun and meaningful day and I was able to see how Americans celebrate the 4th of July.

The Town & Gown Community band had a concert June 7, 2016 at the front of Lovett Auditorium ground. I was so happy to be able to play the Xylophone during the concert and being a part of the band and meeting other people was very fun. When you attend events like this, It is easy to see why Murray was designated as being the "Friendliest Small Town in America"
