The School of Nursing at Murray State University offers programs
leading to the baccalaureate degree in nursing, as well as the master
of science degree in nursing. The RN-to-BSN program offers nurses from
both diploma and associate degree nursing programs an opportunity to
complete requirements of the baccalaureate degree in nursing.
Baccalaureate graduates are prepared for beginning levels of
professional nurse practice, while graduates of the master's level
program (clinical nurse specialist, family nurse practitioner, and
nurse anesthetist) are prepared to practice advanced nursing in a rural
setting. All programs are approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing and
accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Nurse
Anesthesia program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of
Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs.
