Football Alumni Reunion
OSH 40th Anniversary Reunion
Lambda Chi Alpha 50th Anniversary Reunion
Baseball Alumni Reunion
Started in the 1970s by Hall of Fame Head Coach Johnny Reagan, the Baseball Alumni gathering has been one of the most consistent groups to return to campus for Homecoming each year. The Murray State Baseball team has recorded 11 OVC Championships in program history. The reunion combines players from all eras and includes a small gathering Friday night to watch the current team’s inter squad scrimmage, Batting Practice on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by an alumni luncheon. For more information, contact the Murray State athletics office at 270-809-6800.
Saturday morning, October 27, beginning at 9:30 a.m., handcrafted floats line up around
the Murray square and student organizations parade along Main Street to Murray State’s
campus, greeting and passing out candy and party favors to the other students and
residents crowding the street. Special participants of interest include Racer One,
marching bands (especially Racer Band) and political candidates. This year, we’re
honored to welcome Murray State University graduates, Melvin and Rita Henley who will
serve as parade grand marshals.
Stay tuned for line up instructions, registration information, and more.
Parade streaming information will be provided as available.
Every homecoming football game needs a good round of tailgating before kickoff, but Murray State has its own approach to meeting and greeting. Held annually since 1989, Tent City houses nearly 50 organizations set up on the east side of the track at Roy Stewart Stadium. The tents represent a multitude of Murray State groups, from Greek organizations and student clubs to academic departments and residential colleges. The organizations use Tent City as a chance to mingle with alumni and raise funds for their semester activities, while also providing entertainment for homecoming spectators. Be sure to stop by the Murray State Alumni Association tent during Tent City for fun games, activities, special appearances by Murray State celebrities and more surprises!
One of the many highlights of Homecoming weekend is the announcement of the homecoming court. The coronation of Homecoming King and Queen will take place Saturday afternoon, Oct. 27, at Roy Stewart Stadium before kickoff at 3 p.m.
Join Racer Nation on Saturday afternoon to cheer Murray State on to victory against Jacksonville State University! Kick-off at Roy Stewart Stadium is set for 3 p.m.
