Training Resource Center

Murray State University's Training Resource Center provides for the continuing education, training and support to social workers, foster/adoptive families and teens of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. This support includes, but is not limited to, the provision of on-the-floor training, facilitation and coordination of trainings, conference and meeting planning, the identification of trainers/facilitators and the coordination, development and writing of grants related to social services and training. Programs areas include:

  • Independent Living Services
  • KY Foster and Adoptive Parent Training Support Network
  • Adoption promotion with AdoptUsKids
  • Resource Parent Training
  • Parent Resource Trainers

Continuing education and training is provided at Murray State's main campus, regional campuses and at various locations throughout the state to meet the needs of staff and foster and adoptive parents.

The Training Resource Center is a professional development program funded by a variety of sources including the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services
