Heath Keller, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration at Murray State University. He currently teaches courses in management fundamentals and strategic management. Heath earned both his bachelor’s (B.S.B. Marketing) and master’s (MBA) at Murray State. His Ph.D. was earned at Southern Illinois University in Business Administration with major areas in organizational theory/strategy and management information systems. His primary research interests are institutional legitimacy and resource dependence, especially in the context of higher education. Heath’s most recent research has focused on the perceived legitimacy of online business degree programs. Prior to pursuing the Ph.D. at SIU, Heath was the first Online Programs Director in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State where he was responsible for the development and implementation of online programs in business administration and telecommunications systems management.

Dr. Yana Andonova joined Murray State University in 2015. She teaches Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Emerging Technologies in Marketing. She is an advisor for the department’s student club. She completed her MBA and PhD degrees at the University of Massachusetts—Amherst. She holds a BA from the American University in Bulgaria. Her research interests include customer engagement, digital marketing, and public policy issues. Her research has been published in Business Horizons, Marketing Education Review, and the Journal of Education for Business.

Teresa Betts

A member of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business faculty since 2009, Dr. Betts teaches classes in Introduction to Operations Management, Advanced Operations Management with a process focus, and Fundamentals of Management. A native of Iowa, Dr. Betts earned her bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Logistics from Iowa State University. Upon graduation she worked for a national electronics and high value product transportation company in a variety of managerial positions for approximately nine years. An additional nine years with Pella Corporation included roles in cost management, scheduling management, and supply chain management. In 2007, Dr. Betts completed her master’s degree in business from Murray State University and in 2012, completed her doctorate in Production Operations Management from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Betts’ experience and research interests have primarily been focused in the area where supply chain management links to production operations. She believes improving the successful link of supply chain management and production operations has the potential to significantly impact business success and growth opportunities. Throughout her courses, she tries to associate her real world experience with the course material and emphasize the practical application of the lessons under discussion.

Christopher Craig

Christopher A. Craig is the Tom W. Hutchens Endowed Professor at Murray State University’s Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business. He holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Environmental Dynamics from the University of Arkansas. His research explores the complex interactions between the natural environment (inclusive climate change), organizations, and society more broadly. He has taught a variety of management and sustainability courses, including Applied Organizational Sustainability which won the Grand Page Prize from the University of South Carolina for the best integration of sustainability into business curricula. Other notable recognitions include the Academy of Management (ONE Division) Teacher of the Year award and the Murray State Presidential Research Award. Additionally, he is the Editor-In-Chief of The Case Journal, which aims to equip “the next generation of business professionals with the acumen to solve strategic problems in enterprise.”

Steve Dublin has been a lecturer at Murray State University for over 15 years. He has taught a variety of courses in marketing and management over the years. His present emphasis is in the area of Entrepreneurship. In addition to being a Senior Lecturer, Steve also is the owner and operator of Steve Dublin Construction and Dublin Properties, LLC.

Terry Holmes, a member of the faculty since 2000, teaches the MBA core course in marketing and undergraduate courses in e-commerce, and sports business. Dr. Holmes earned a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Cincinnati in 1997, MBA from the University of Kentucky (1984), and BSBA in marketing from the University of Louisville (1982). He has published articles, cases, and proceedings in several areas of research, including relationship marketing, marketing education, and business communication. His private sector experience includes business ownership of a software training firm, free-lance software training, training and development specialist for an insurance company home office, and retail management.

Dr. Ismail Karabas is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Murray State since 2018. Dr. Karabas has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Izmir University of Economic (in Turkey) and PhD in Marketing from Washington State University. At Murray State, he teaches Principles of Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. His primary research interests are services marketing and advertising.

Dr. Sarah Lefebvre joined Murray State in 2017. Currently she teaches Food and Beverage Marketing, Principles of Marketing, Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism and Global Marketing. Dr. Lefebvre’s research focuses on food and beverage consumption, emerging food trends, and foodservice interactions. Her research has been published in a number of publications including the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. She received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Central Florida, holds a Master of Medical Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Sheffield and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dr. Linnhoff teaches courses in marketing research, retailing management, selling and sales management, and principles of marketing. A member of the department since 2010, he holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Mississippi (2011) and MBA from Berry College (Rome, Ga., 2005). In his native Germany, Dr. Linnhoff holds the Assessor luris (second state exam in law, equivalent to the bar exam in the U.S.) (2000), and the First State Exam in Law (equivalent to the Juris Doctor in the U.S.), University of Münster, Germany (1997).

Dr. Jeremy North has been a member of Murray State University's Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business faculty since 2014. He teaches Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain Management courses. His research interests include facility location, vehicle routing, and heuristic algorithm development. Dr. North earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Additionally, he earned a BBA and an MBA at Pittsburg State University. Jeremy is also a veteran of the US Army. He was a paratrooper and a non-commissioned officer serving in the Military Intelligence Corp. Sgt. North participated in numerous operations and deployments during in his military career, and currently serves as the faculty advisor for the student veterans association at Murray State University.

Teri Ray, Lecturer, is faculty advisor for the Murray State student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She holds the SPHR certification and is Murray State liaison for the Four Rivers Chapter of SHRM (Paducah). She earned a Bachelor of Business degree from Campbellsville University (1987) and Master of Business Administration degree from Morehead State University (2001). She teaches courses in Business Communication, Human Resource Selection, Compensation Management, and Labor/Management Relations.

Joy Roach Humphreys, Ph.D., professor, teaches courses in foundations of business, business communications, and technology for marketing. Humphreys is a Murray State alum, and also earned a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, specializing in the fields of workforce development and business education. At MSU, she has served as a department chair and then 7 years as associate dean while leading successful AACSB re-accreditation efforts. She has won MSU's Sandra Flynn Professor of the Year Award for her teaching service and has published work in Business Communication Quarterly, Journal for Global Business Education, Journal of Applied Research for Business Instruction, and others. Also in 2008, Humphreys (nee Roach) won the Delta Pi Epsilon Dissertation Award, an honor bestowed on the author of the top-rated dissertation of those nominated and blind-reviewed in the United States and Canada in the fields of business education and business communication.

Dr. L. Jeff Seaton has been a member of the Murray State University department of Management, Marketing and Business Administration since 2007. At Murray State he primarily teaches Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the graduate level. Before coming to Murray State he taught at the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Memphis. Dr. Seaton’s educational credentials consist of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a PhD. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of Memphis. Dr. Seaton’s areas of research are ethics, organizational aggression, whistle-blowing, individual perceptions/rationalities and emotional labor. He has several publications in business journals and made numerous presentations at business conferences throughout the United States. Dr. Seaton has provided research/consulting and/or training for the Federal Aviation Administration, M.S. Carriers Trucking Company, Kroger Food Stores, Inc., Office of Naval Research, Kentucky Emergency Medical Services, Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Paris-Henry County TN Arts Council, Weakley County, TN General Sessions Court System, Peel and Holland Financial Group, various Chamber of Commences, numerous law enforcement departments throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, and many other for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Before going into academics, Dr. Seaton worked as a manager in manufacturing, owner/manager of an electrical services business and served 11 years as a law enforcement officer where he ended his law enforcement career at the rank of Chief Investigator and POST certified Training Officer. Currently, Dr. Seaton is the owner of Seaton’s Electrical Service in Paris, TN., is a Friends of Paris Landing board member, is a Henry Co. Tourism executive board member, and serves the Paris/Henry Co. Chamber of Commerce as an executive board member and 2012/13 chamber president.

Jan Super, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration. A member of the faculty since 2014, Dr. Super teaches Advanced Topics in Human Resource Management and Fundamentals of Management. Her research interests include compensation and rewards, information sharing, and strategic human resource management. Dr. Super earned her bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. She spent several years working in the Kansas City area, both for a defense contractor and for a major greeting card company. Dr. Super completed her master’s degree, as well as her doctorate, at the University of Kansas.

Brenda Hayden Sheets earned a B.A., M.A., and M.S. degrees from Murray State University in 1972, 1976, and 1979 respectively. In 1981, she received an A.A. degree in Computer Programming/Information Technology from Nashville State Technical Institute. Adding to her educational background, Dr. Sheets earned a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1983. She has been an educator in Kentucky public schools and community colleges for more than 10 years. Dr. Sheets has also served as an educational/software trainer and corporate manager in organizations, including Hospital Corporation of America, Service Merchandise, and General Tire. Presently, Dr. Sheets is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State, where she has taught for more than 15 years. Her current research interests are plagiarism and business management in the golf industry. Dr. Sheets is married and has two children.
