Academic Achievement Scholarships
Academic Achievement Scholarships are first-come, first-served scholarships awarded after being admitted to Murray State University as an incoming Freshman.
Academic Achievement Scholarships are awarded per academic year (total amount of scholarship will be split in half for each semester, excluding summers) for four years or until the Bachelor’s degree is obtained, whichever occurs first. Renewability requires the following:
- Maintain a 3.2 cumulative MSU GPA
- Enroll full-time (12 credit hours per semester)
- Earn at least 24 credits hours within the academic year (fall & spring semesters combined)
- Participate in the Honors Program if receiving a Trustee Scholarship
Academic Achievement Scholarship awards may be revised if additional grades or test scores are submitted to the Undergraduate Admissions Office by January 15.
Students will receive only one Academic Achievement Scholarship. Students cannot have both an Academic Achievement Scholarship and the Governor's Scholars Program/Governor's School for the Arts Scholarship. If a student qualifies for both, they will be given the scholarship that best benefits the student.
ALL competitive University scholarships for incoming freshmen require a separate scholarship application that must be submitted by January 15.
