Upcoming Events that will benefit Parents, Families, & Students
Murray State University’s spring Career Fair will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third floor of the Curris Center.
Murray State Career Services invites MSU students and alumni to attend Career Fair to network with recruiters from a variety of organizations for full-time, co-op and internship positions. Eighty-six local, regional and national companies and organizations attended the fall event, and they expect a similar turn out this spring. All majors are encouraged to attend.
Students should dress professionally and bring updated copies of their resumes. They are also encouraged to research registered organizations and available positions via Racer Tracks, a resource available via students’ myGate account. Participants should come early and bring a portfolio if applicable. Be prepared to ask questions and give an “elevator speech,” a 60 second introduction that summarizes your education, experience and skills as well as what type of employment you seek. The Murray Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile route that gives runners a grand tour of Murray and Calloway County. Runners start at the Center for Health and Wellness on Poplar Street before heading downtown to the historic courthouse square. After winding through scenic Central Park, the runners then hit the pavement of Murray’s main artery, U.S. Hwy 641, past Murray State University’s Roy Stewart Stadium and out into the beautiful countryside of Calloway County. The runners return to the city on the west side, where they pass through various residential and commercial neighborhoods before returning to Murray-Calloway County Hospital to finish the race. The route stays fairly flat and offers plenty of scenery along the way.  http://murrayhalfmarathon.org/
Deadlines for August and December 2013 Graduation applications are fast approaching. Degree applications must be submitted on myGate by the following deadlines:

August 2013 applications- March 1, 2013
December 2013 applications- April 2, 2013

If you are planning on graduating in May 2013 and you have not applied for graduation, you still have time to apply. Late applications are not avaible on myGate. Please fill out the application form found at:

The Murray Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile route that gives runners a grand tour of Murray and Calloway County. Runners start at the Center for Health and Wellness on Poplar Street before heading downtown to the historic courthouse square. After winding through scenic Central Park, the runners then hit the pavement of Murray’s main artery, U.S. Hwy 641, past Murray State University’s Roy Stewart Stadium and out into the beautiful countryside of Calloway County. The runners return to the city on the west side, where they pass through various residential and commercial neighborhoods before returning to Murray-Calloway County Hospital to finish the race. The route stays fairly flat and offers plenty of scenery along the way.  http://murrayhalfmarathon.org/
Deadlines for August and December 2013 Graduation applications are fast approaching. Degree applications must be submitted on myGate by the following deadlines:

August 2013 applications- March 1, 2013
December 2013 applications- April 2, 2013

If you are planning on graduating in May 2013 and you have not applied for graduation, you still have time to apply. Late applications are not avaible on myGate. Please fill out the application form found at:

Upcoming Events that will benefit Parents, Families, & Students
Murray State University’s spring Career Fair will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third floor of the Curris Center.
Murray State Career Services invites MSU students and alumni to attend Career Fair to network with recruiters from a variety of organizations for full-time, co-op and internship positions. Eighty-six local, regional and national companies and organizations attended the fall event, and they expect a similar turn out this spring. All majors are encouraged to attend.
Students should dress professionally and bring updated copies of their resumes. They are also encouraged to research registered organizations and available positions via Racer Tracks, a resource available via students’ myGate account. Participants should come early and bring a portfolio if applicable.
