Required Documents for International Students

Graduate Applicants - (Master's Degree)

  • Transcripts for all years of university (if transcripts are not written in English, you must also submit certified translations)
  • University Degree ORGraduation Certificate (if the graduation certificate is not written in English, you must also submit a certified translation)
  • Proof of Financial Support
    • Bank Statement (issued within the last 6 months) showing a balance of at least $28,636 OR
    • Scholarship Letter
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency
    • IELTS or TOEFL scores meeting minimum requirements and graduate program requirements OR
    • Admission to or completion of the ESL Program at Murray State University OR
    • Degree from a university located in a country where English is the native language* OR
    • Students from the following countries are not required to submit English proficiency scores: Australia, Bahamas, Belize, Botswana, British Islands, Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
  • Copy of Passport for applicant and all dependents
  • Letters of Reference
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Official GMAT or GRE Score for Certain Programs 

Undergraduate Applicants - (Bachelor's Degree)

  • Transcripts for all years of high school (if transcripts are not written in English, you must also submit certified translations) with a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate (if the graduation certificate is not written in English, you must also submit a certified translation)
  • Proof of Financial Support
    • Bank Statement (issued within the last 6 months) showing a balance of at least $26,024 OR
    • Scholarship Letter 
  • Proof of Language Proficiency
    • IELTS or TOEFL scores meeting minimum requirements OR
    • Admission to or Completion of the ESL Program at Murray State University OR
    • Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language* OR
    • Completion of two semesters of full-time university level classes (minimum of 24 credit hours) with a 2.5 GPA or higher at an accredited US institution OR
    • Students from the following countries are not required to submit English proficiency scores: Australia, Bahamas, Belize, Botswana, British Islands, Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
  • Copy of Passport for applicant and all dependents

Transfer Applicants - (Bachelor's Degree)

  • Transcripts for all years of high school (if transcripts are not written in English, you must also submit certified translations)
  • High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate (if the graduation certificate is not written in English, you must also submit a certified translation)
  • University Transcripts (if transcripts are not written in English, you must also submit certified translations) with a 2.0 GPA or higher.
  • Official WES or ECE course-by-course evaluation sent directly to Murray State University
  • Proof of Financial Support
    • Bank Statement (issued within the last 6 months) showing a balance of at least $26,024 OR
    • Scholarship Letter
  • Proof of Language Proficiency
    • IELTS or TOEFL scores meeting minimum language requirements OR
    • Admission to or Completion of the ESL Program at Murray State University OR
    • Graduation from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language* OR
    • Degree from a university located in a country where English is the native language* OR

  • Transfer Form for F-1 visa holders currently studying in the United States
 
*Eligibility will be determined by the International Admissions Office only after the applicant has submitted an official application along with all required documents.
