Prospective Students




Eligibility Requirements: 28+ ACT or 3.8+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or top 10% of graduating HS class.

Application and Admission: Students must submit application and essay by March 1st.  Applications will be evaluated by honors student and faculty committees, and up to 120 students will be selected for admission.  Applications submitted after March 1st will be evaluated as there is room in the program.

Students receiving the Presidential Fellowship or the Trustees Scholarship are automatically accepted and are required to participate in the Honors Program.

To remain in good standing in the Honors Program, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale). In addition, a student is expected to take at least one Honors Seminar per semester (unless he or she arranges with the director to defer this requirement or unless the sequence is completed).
