Application (choose either the online or paper application):

Eligibility
Admission to Murray State University is a prerequisite for admission to the Honors Program. Since Murray State's and the Honors Program's admissions processes are separate, all prospective Honors Program students must apply to both.

Recipients of Presidential Fellowships and Trustee, Regents, and Provost Scholarships to MSU, National Merit finalists and semi-finalists, and all other entering first-year students with a minimum ACT of 28 and a high school GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale are eligible to apply for admission. Enrolled students who have a 3.5 GPA or better at Murray State University and who have presented recommendations from faculty in varied disciplines indicating that they would succeed in the program are also eligible to apply.

Retention
To remain in good standing in the Honors Program, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale). In addition, a student is expected to take at least one Honors Seminar per semester (unless he or she arranges with the director to defer this requirement or unless the sequence is completed).
