Note: Certification requires a grade of B or better in one English composition course and a C or better in one University Studies math course, public speaking, and EDU 103 or equivalent course. A. Three MAT courses (3 or 4 credit hour) selected from MAT 338 and MAT courses numbered 400 or above including:
at least one of the following:

MAT 516 Introduction to Topology
MAT 521 Abstract Algebra I
MAT 525 Advanced Calculus I
and at least one of the following:
MAT 442 Introduction to Numerical Analysis
MAT 501 Mathematical Modeling I

and an additional MAT course selected from MAT 338 and MAT courses numbered 400 or above

B. At least three (3 or 4 credit hour) courses selected MAT courses numbered 400 or above or from courses related to the application of mathematics selected from a list approved by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
