Mark Woodring currently lives in Memphis, TN, where he is pursuing a DMA at the University of Memphis. He completed his BM at Murray State University in 2008, and his MM at Indiana University in 2010. His primary teachers have included Dr. David Spencer, Dr. Kyle Millsap, Edmund Cord, Dr. Eric Swisher, and Dr. Robert Murray. 


Mark has taught and performed throughout the Midwest United States, performing with the Summit Brass, The Columbus (IN) Symphony, The Camerata Orchestra, and the Lafayette (IN) Bach Society. He was a featured soloist in Bellarmine University's Festival of Hymns in 2009 and 2010.   


Mark currently is an adjunct instructor of trumpet at Murray State University in Murray, KY, where he teaches applied trumpet and trumpet ensemble. He was the assistant Band Director at Lone Oak Middle School in Paducah, KY from 2011-2012 and taught at Kentucky's Governor's School for the Arts from 2006-2009. He maintains a studio of private students who consistently excel in local and regional competitions and has had many students continue their musical training at the collegiate level.
