TQI collaborates with the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, and the College of Education to plan summer institutes for practicing teachers. The goal is to strengthen pedagogy and content knowledge in the classroom with an emphasis on technology. Participants receive tuition scholarships from TQI for three hours of graduate credit for each institute. Teaching materials and equipment are also provided. These practicing teachers work closely with the college professors in authentic experiences both on campus and in the field.
In order to meet the needs of even more teachers, TQI partnered with the College of Education and Regional Outreach to present a College and Career Readiness Education Summit in 2012. More than 200 educators attended the Summit.
