Toning with Betsy


Challenging body sculpting class designed to increase strength and muscle tone using a variety of equipment, targeting all major muscle groups. Resistance training combined with short bursts of cardio. This class will offer you strength, power and core conditioning.  This class is for all fitness levels- Start off with low reps and increase each week. You will be amazed how strong you will become!!!! 


AB ATTACK with Betsy


Everyone wants strong defined abs!  But more than just good looks, strong abs help improve overall core strength. Having a strong core is vital to healthy living .This class will target tone those abdominals, firming up the transverse, oblique's, and rectus abdominals. This class is more than just crunches. These belly-flattening exercises will strengthen your core from the front, sides, and back for strong, sculpted abs.


TRX with Phil

You know those black and yellow straps you see hanging around in multi-purpose room A? That's TRX! TRX is a full-body strength workout that utilizes a person's own body weight instead of relying on machines or dumbbells. The TRX group fitness class involves moderate to high intensity exercise programs based around the TRX system. It implements timed interval training and proper technique to get the most out of the workout. In type of training is proven to burn fat and promote muscular strength and endurance. Max: 12 people

Line Dancing with Donna

Line dancing is easy, a beginner level with some turns and spins, just count to 4 and come join me!

Couples class, you don’t need a partner, dances will include the Cha-Cha, Waltz and country couples dances. Come join the fun!

Water Aerobics with Debbie

We start with water weights and arm exercises, then move down to the legs and abs. Exercises include, jump and jacks and frog moves and some cardio kickboxing!

Cycling with Lynn & Lacey

This class is composed of 45-55 minute cardio session of cycling to upbeat, fun and motivating music that also includes some strength training in the process. There will be various maneuvers to increase the intensity overtime and to make the class more challenging. This class is intended to help burn fat and increase fitness while strengthening and toning the muscles. 

Zumba with Maria, Keisha, & Ashley

Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That is what Zumba is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-PARTY!

Aqua Zumba with Keisha

Yes, that is right…Zumba in the WATER! Have all the fun you would have in Zumba, only in the pool with the added resistance of the water!

Tai Chi with Wayne

If you're looking for a way to reduce stress, consider tai chi (TIE-CHEE). Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements

Yoga with Thérèse St Paul

Yoga I is ideal for anyone new to yoga and interested in its benefits . Both Yoga classes have a sequence that will help you build strength, increase flexibility and find focus. Yoga II is more advanced than Yoga I.

Power Hour Circuit Training with Kaleb

This is a fifty- five minute interval training class suitable for anyone wanting to better their health. We will perform a full body workout that will burn fat and improve your fitness. Class will run in intervals but can be modified to meet individual needs. Maximum amount of participants: 12

Body Fit  with Phil

It is never too early to think about swimsuit season.  Want to stay ahead of the game for the holidays and avoid those extra pounds? Want to slim down and tone up and be ready for your spring break trip? Tone those muscles and trim that waist line with the Body Assault class.  Bands and bodyweight will sweat and snap you into shape!


Pilates with Brittney

Pilates is for those who seek balance in life, wanting to change their lives for the better by enhancing the mind while strengthening the body. Pilates is for anyone and everyone!

Belly Dancing with Marcie

Belly Dance is one of the oldest forms of dance. It is a dance suitable for everybody. It is a fun low impact exercise that can help build your core muscles, improve flexibility, balance, range of motion and you may even make some new friends! No matter your age, shape, gender, or dance experience you can learn to Belly Dance.

Full Body 30 with Stefan

Need a full body reformation? But don’t have time due to classes & studying? Full Body 30 will you achieve those goals with time to spare! In this class, we will use resistance bans, dumbbells and your own body weight to work out both upper and lower body. You gain optimal heart health and overall fitness.

Fitness On The Run with Stefan

Fitness On The Run is a great way to get out and enjoy running! Meeting twice a week, we will participate in running distances anywhere from miles to short sprints, along with working our body's core! This may be intimidating to beginners, but we will start at an easy pace and work our way up! Come on out and join us starting February 28th!










Personal Training Information

Any Individual acting in the fashion of a personal trainer must be hired through the MSU Wellness Center. Personal training on the premises of the MSU Wellness Center is restricted to MSU Wellness Center Personal Training Staff. Any individual found soliciting these types of services will be denied further access to these facilities.

Interested in Personal Training?

To get started, you need to fill out an information packet/request form. These forms can be found at the Wellness Center front desk. Once these forms are returned back to the front desk, you will be contacted by phone notifying you of your eligibility. Physician’s consent maybe required.

Our Rates

This program does not involve duration contracts. A participant can purchase as many or as few sessions as they desire. The initial session will include a fitness assessment, consultation, and if time permits a weight room orientation. Each additional session will be a designed exercise program with a personal trainer to help you stay motivated and reach your fitness goals. Sessions are 60 minutes in length.

1 session for a student member: $20

1 session for a non-student member: $25


All participants must be a current Wellness Center Member.

Payments must be received before training begins.

All receipts are due at the beginning of the session in order to proceed.

Participants are asked to cancel at least 24hours in advance of the scheduled training session.

Failure to contact your trainer will result in a forfeiture of a session.

Trainers will wait only 15 minutes for participants. After 15 minutes, participants will lose a session.

Sessions that begin late will end one hour from original start time.

Sessions are non-refundable, non-transferable.

All trainers have the right to discontinue any program that in their professional opinion is not in the best interest of the trainer and/or client.
