A Bachelor of Science degree with an Area in Exercise Science includes programs designed for students with an interest in health promotion, wellness, strength and conditioning, and those interested in pursuing graduate programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physicians assistant, or sports medicine. Students declaring an Area in Exercise Science choose a track in Wellness, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, or Pre-Physician Assistant. Persons interested in the program must possess good academic skills, be interested in science and disease prevention, and enjoy working with people. The Exercise Science Area is currently preparing for national certification.
