How can I request a transcript?

ALL transcript requests must be made online HERE.

How much does a transcript cost?

Currently the fee for a transcript is $8.00 each.  An additional processing fee of $2.25 is charged per location for using this on-line service. Transcripts are available to be sent electronically to some locations and there is an additional charge of $1.75 for that option.  

Payment may be made by most major credit cards or your personal debit card.  Charges are not applied to the credit card until the transcript is processed.

 Can you send my transcript(s) electronically?

Students/alumni can order electronic PDF transcripts, with the exception of students who attended prior to 2000. (These students can still order hard-copy transcripts.)

How long will it take for my transcript request to be processed?

Transcript orders may take, on average, 1 to 2 business days.

If this is your first request for a transcript since we transitioned to our on-line system, and you have records prior to Fall 2009 term, additional time is needed for validation of your student record.  Please allow processing time if you are ordering your transcript to meet a time sensitive deadline.  On average, your transcript order will be processed between 3 to 5 business days.  If it has been more than 5 business days and you need to check on the status of your order, please feel free to email us at msu.transcriptrequests@murraystate.edu.

Transcripts are sent first-class U.S. mail.  Allow appropriate time for postal delivery.

 Can you  fax my transcript(s)?

 We do NOT fax copies of academic records.

Can I get  an "unofficial" transcript?

All academic transcripts are official.  An "unofficial" transcript may not be ordered.
