Sigma Alpha Agricultural Sorority
Sigma Alpha
Agricultural Sorority is a professional agricultural sorority
that promotes
scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship among its
members. Sigma
Alpha provides young women with an alternative to the social
Greek sorority
system. MSU's Sigma Alpha Chapter hosts the annual Miss Hutson School
of Agriculture
Pageant, which was a womanless beauty contest held to raise
money for
Bright Life Farms in Princeton, KY. Bright Life Farms is a farm
dedicated
to mentally handicapped adults. There they grow their own food
and live
with moderate supervision. The money that is raised from the
philanthropy
event is used to purchase spring planting material.
