COE Undergraduate Advising Center
Welcome to the College of Education Undergraduate Advising Center!
The Undergraduate Advising Center is located on the second floor of Alexander Hall. The Center's mission is to help students become life-long learners and create an environment conducive to personal and academic growth. We provide academic and professional support to students as they develop their educational plans. If you are an elementary major, the Advising Center can answer questions specifically about the Elementary Education program as it pertains to academic policy, transfer questions, appropriate education and general education courses, changing majors, tutoring, and more.
The Advising Center coordinates Summer Orientation sessions for most new education students and assists with registration. We attend career fairs and recruitment events (Racer Days, Thoroughbred Days, Recruitment Desserts and Receptions), promoting the College of Education teacher certification progams. We also assist transfer students by answering transfer-specific questions or conducting advising workshops when needed.
Our Director also serves as faculty advisor for two student organizations. The College of Education Student Ambassadors, comprised of education majors, assists with recruitment, retention, school visits, and other recruitment activities on campus. The Kentucky Education Association Student Program provides pre-service teachers with experiences and professional development opportunities to further enhance their teaching skills.
Please feel free to contact us for more information or to make an appointment.
