| PAYMENT OF FEES | |
| All MSU billing statements will be sent electronically. An email is sent to the student’s murraystate.edu account notifying the student that their statement is available for viewing through their myGate account under the Money Tab. An eBill is a real-time billing statement that is fully integrated with the university’s student information system. The eBill on the Money Tab allows students to view their most recent account activity, make payments on their current account balances, and/or view their accounts or statements 24 hours a day 7 days a week. | |

| If not paying the balance in full at the beginning of each semester, students are expected to establish payment arrangements while attending Murray State University. Payment arrangements must be made with the Bursar’s Office. Acceptable payment arrangements consist of the following: | |

|
- Payment in full of all tuition, fees, room and board of a given term
- Enrollment in the Murray State University Payment Plan (MSUPP) with required initial payment. MSUPP Application is available through the student's myGate account. A $30 setup fee is required at the time of enrollment. If a student enrolls in the MSUPP on their eBill due date the first installment, as well as the $30 setup fee, will be required at the time of enrollment.

| Payments are due by noon on the due date shown on the billing statement. Acceptable forms of payments are: | |

- In-person payments at the Cashier's Office (located on the 2nd Floor of Sparks Hall). Cash, Checks, Money Orders, and PIN Debit cards are accepted at the Cashier's Office window. Checks presented for payment will be converted to a POP or ARC check and processed electronically as an ACH payment.
- Online payments via the student's myGate account. Electronic checks (e-checks), pinless Debit, and Credit Cards (ONLY Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) are accepted online. If you choose to pay by credit card, a 2.75% convenience fee or a minimum of $3 will be assessed to the transaction total.

| Freshmen and sophomore students who are not exempt from housing regulations by virtue of age, military service, or other approved exemptions must reside in university housing during the regular semesters. Anyone with fewer than 30 semester hours earned is classified as a freshman. Anyone with at least 30 hours but fewer than 60 hours earned is classified as a sophomore. Exemptions to this requirement must be obtained in writing and in advance of being notified of a housing assignment. Undergraduates, with the exception of seniors, who qualify for and accept the Regional Tuition Discount for out-of-state students are required to pay for university housing. All housing fees are applied to the student's account and payment is due in full at the beginning of each semester, unless the student has enrolled in the Murray State University Payment Plan. | Declining Balance | | | | | | |
| Students may elect to place money into Declining Balance. The Declining Balance may be used at any food service location. Refunds for Declining Balances are also available during the last two weeks of the semester or when the student leaves the university as long as the ending balance is $10 or more. Racer ID Fee The Murray State University RacerCard Identification (ID Card) fee is assessed once to tall students enrolled in main campus courses. Students enrolled in off-campus or online-only courses are not assessed and ID fee unless specifically requested by the student.
