Department of Engineering and Physics

The Department of Engineering and Physics prepares students for careers in important high-tech, emerging technologies with great salaries and opportunities for advancement. In this department, you will have a choice of a variety of degree programs including an ABET-accredited engineering degree in Engineering Physics which includes tracks in mechanical, electrical and biomedical engineering, as well as in advanced physics. This Engineering Physics degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The department offers a degree in Physics, which may include a secondary certification program and a degree in Applied Physics. As an engineering or physics major at Murray State University, you will benefit from small classes taught by outstanding faculty. Full-time faculty all hold a Ph.D and several are registered as Professional Engineers.
