Jinhee Han, a cellist and a native of South Korea. She was a principal cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra at IU under the batons of Leonard Slatkin, David Effron, and Cliff Colnot. As a collaborative cellist, a chamber music coach, and a member of the festival orchestras, she participated in the RUMF, the Hartwick College Music Festival, the Great Mountain Music Festival, and the Colorado College Music Festival. She was also selected as an Artist in Resident in Polish Studies and gave a concert at the Polish consulate in Chicago. She is enthusiastic about teaching as well. She served as an Assistant Instructor at the Indiana University for three years. In Summer 2010, she taught cello and piano at the Huree University in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia through a Christian mission program.
For the new academic year of 2012-13, she will work as an adjunct professor for the low strings at the Murray State University, and as a principal cellist at the Jackson Symphony. Jinhee hold a M.M and currently finishing her D.M under Professor Emilio Colon at the Indiana University, and she hold a B.M from the University of Texas at Austin.
